As Drew Keeth states, our dogs are our greatest conversation tool. We work with our dogs year-round, utilizing our world-class training facilities. Our commitment to keeping our dogs in top working condition is paramount. We work with some of the nation’s top professional dog trainers, who supply us with the best started stock so we can get them tuned up and ready for our approximately 130-day wing-shooting seasons. Over the course of that season, our dogs pick up an average 800-1,200 birds (Doves, Ducks, and Geese).

Wes' partner in crime, Maggie Roux, became part of the Curry family in November 2016 at the young age of one. She quickly stole Wes' heart with her big brown eyes and mean drive to retrieve. She's a 50 pound black lab born in Opelousas, Louisiana, just a short jaunt away from Honey Brake Lodge. Maggie Roux is a sweet-hearted go-getter that loves nothing more than ducks on the water! She resides most of the year in southern Missouri, but loves going back to her roots for duck season. She goes as hard and fast as she can in the duck woods so she can take her daily siesta on the ride back to the lodge. You won't forget Maggie when you see her she's the smallest adult lab around the place!
